Paint The Town
Paint the Town is an exciting visual arts event based in Blackburn town centre.
A challenge to artists of all ages and abilities - beginners, amateurs and professionals - to create a painting, drawing or other artwork in a single day. This can be done in Blackburn town centre itself, capturing the town centre over the course of one day, or from home, capturing the people and places of the Blackburn with Darwen borough using inspiration from photos, images or memories.
Artwork can be digital or non-digital, and any size or medium is acceptable, but has to completed it in a day!
There were categories for children and young people under 16, as well as a ‘Just for Fun’ category for those who are starting out or don’t feel comfortable being judged alongside experienced artists.
There were fantastic cash and artist materials prizes to be won, and all submitted work will be part of a Paint the Town exhibition following the event.
