King of the Cats exhibition

Come and meet talking cats, boggarts, haunted hares and ghostly spectres and immerse yourself in windswept moorland, snow capped hills and icy becks.

The bureau is delighted to host the King of the Cats, a touring exhibition of sculpture, painting, stories, film and drawing.

Two visual artists living and working in Lancashire engage with old Lancashire folk tales and their contemporary retelling by acclaimed writer and storyteller Jacqueline Harris.

Marjan Wouda – lively sculptures in atmospheric peep-box settings

Christopher Rainham – paintings, drawings and painted objects.

Jacqueline Harris – stories and film

The artists and writer have created a stunning and varied exhibition of engaging contemporary art deeply rooted in the local environment. The exhibition includes visitor activities for all ages – including opportunities to contribute your own local story.
