Weekly workshops using Samba and Bhangra rhythms are taking place at Mill Hill Community Centre, Music Factory at Witton CLC, Bangor Street Community Centre and the Bureau Centre for the Arts and are being delivered by musicians from More Music.

Have you always liked the sound of steel pans? This is your opportunity to join a community group. It’s a fantastic way to play with a group of friends, no matter what your musical skill level – and great fun.

Join us if you’re a total beginner or if you’ve already played in one of the steel bands we have running in schools. We have groups for children and young people from age 8 and for adults as well.

New developments with our Heartbeat drumming project this year has expanded our work to running sessions for children and young people age 8-12 and from 12-18. The project continues to include workshops in different drumming

Weekly workshops using Samba and Bhangra rhythms are taking place at Mill Hill Community Centre, Music Factory at Witton CLC, Bangor Street Community Centre and the Bureau Centre for the Arts and are being delivered by musicians from More Music.

Have you always liked the sound of steel pans? This is your opportunity to join a community group. It’s a fantastic way to play with a group of friends, no matter what your musical skill level – and great fun.

Join us if you’re a total beginner or if you’ve already played in one of the steel bands we have running in schools. We have groups for children and young people from age 8 and for adults as well.

 

Times

Wednesdays at 5.30pm & 6.30pm during term time.

Level

Beginner, Intermediate

Cost

Children: £2 a session
Adults: £5 a session

You don’t need to have any musical experience, but if you do, the steel pans are a great opportunity to try something new with a group of friends.
