Have you always liked the sound of steel pans? This is your opportunity to join a community group. It’s a fantastic way to play with a group of friends, no matter what your musical skill level – and great fun.

Join us if you’re a total beginner or if you’ve already played in one of the steel bands we have running in schools. We have groups for children and young people from age 8 and for adults as well.

 

Times

Wednesdays at 5.30pm & 6.30pm during term time.

Level

Beginner, Intermediate

Cost

Children: £2 a session
Adults: £5 a session

You don’t need to have any musical experience, but if you do, the steel pans are a great opportunity to try something new with a group of friends.

Families or friends can come along together

Suitable for beginners and advanced too. Expert teacher Chris has over 20 years of experience and it shows.

Learn about this great way of keeping fit, balance and breathing techniques and give yourself a bit of much needed ‘me’ time in a busy schedule.

Wear something comfortable that you can move in.

Pay weekly- no need to book a course.

Have a go at making something, read something out on the open mic, play a new tune, do a new dance, try a new art technique and bring the result in to show us, plus all the usual fun , food , Open Mic , Live music and good company.

Retro microphone on stage

Social space for people to get together, … open mic, live music, workshops, exhibitions, food and fun!  Usually £3 in covers the costs of the event…..some food included, and cafe for hot drinks and some snacks. Contributors wanted every month or just come along and enjoy.
